Privacy policy

What we store

Words Ago has no accounts, sign-ups or mailing lists, and we don’t set tracking cookies. Your guesses, stats, streak and theme choice are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. They never reach us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Server logs

Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP address and the page requested) to deliver and protect the site, and gives us aggregate counts such as daily visits.

Links

Story pages link to sources on other sites, such as Wikipedia. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Changes

If we add advertising later, we’ll update this policy before it goes live. Questions: hello@wordsago.com.
